Amalfi — Single Lemon

Lost-wax cast bronze with a brushed verdigris patina, weighted in the palm like the original Sorrento fruit.

Edition price

$185

A single lemon cast in bronze and weighted to sit slightly heavy in the hand, the way the Sorrento original did when it was lifted off the branch.

The pour was finished by a foundry outside Pietrasanta and patinated slowly over four weeks; the surface continues to settle for the first year, then holds.

It is meant for a console, a kitchen counter, the corner of a desk — anywhere a small, cool weight will do more than a vase of flowers would.

Material

Cast in lost-wax bronze at a foundry outside Pietrasanta, taken from a single Sorrento lemon picked in 2025. Each pour was finished by hand and brushed with a slow verdigris patina, then waxed and dried. The stem and one leaf were forged separately and pinned after cooling. Edition of one hundred twenty, numbered on the underside.

Care

Wipe with a soft dry cloth. Avoid prolonged outdoor exposure — the patina is stable indoors but will deepen in salt air. Do not polish.
